U.S. researchers create printable invention Pattern Battery

New York, Rensselaer Polytechnic (RPI) researchers at University recently developed a new nano-engineered rechargeable batteries, such as paper-thin battery, but also has very good flexibility.

Through the use of nanotechnology and other technology, researchers have found how to reduce the average lithium-ion battery compaq Presario M2000 battery(compaq m2000 battery) technology, closed to a cellulose paper approach. Moreover, this part of the battery more than 90% of paper used by the production of cellulose composition. The researchers said the new battery can be as high as 300 degrees Fahrenheit to as low as minus 100 degrees Fahrenheit, the temperature in use, but the battery is completely integrated and can be printed like paper.

According to RPI, the new battery can be rolled up, twisted, folded or cut into different shapes with no loss of mechanical integrity or efficiency. The new battery can also be the same as the printing paper stacked together to increase the total power output.

This battery prototype materials used are very cheap, but the researchers are still studying the low-cost way to mass produce the battery approach.

Lithium-ion batteries Compaq Presario V2000 battery(compaq v2000 battery) are widely used in a variety of consumer electronic products, such as notebook computers, digital cameras, mobile phones. Manufacturers are constantly looking for narrowing the lithium-ion battery size and enhance efficiency, improve product availability and portability.

Toshiba this week announced two Sony laptop battery problem is not due to a large-scale recall of the completely resolved. In April and May this year, appeared in two battery packs using Sony Toshiba laptop fire incidents.

Toshiba said that in order to avoid the recurrence of accidents, the company will redouble its efforts to replace the existing security risks for users of Sony battery packs. Toshiba said in a statement: "May 24, 2007, a Sony battery packs used in Toshiba notebook burst into flames. Although the main reason for the accident has not been determined, but the investigation has found that a short circuit within the Hp pavillion zx5000 battery(Hp zx5000 battery) battery brought to damage, in order to determine the problem stems from the battery pack. "Toshiba also revealed that the incident in April this year, with a replacement battery pack is not relevant, but the company did not release further details.

Because of overheating or fire safety problems, Dell, Apple, Toshiba, Lenovo and Fujitsu PC makers recall last year, hundreds of millions of Sony battery Hp PP2200 battery packs. Prior to this, had many laptops on fire incidents. For example, a Dell laptop at a conference held in Japan on the fire, the relevant images quickly spread throughout the Internet
